Daniel Talmor, MD, MPH
Professor Daniel S. Talmor, MD, MPH, has been chair of the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine since 2014. He received his MD at Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Israel and MPH at Harvard School of Public Health. He did residency training in Israel in both cardiothoracic surgery and anesthesiology, and fellowship training in critical care and cardiac anesthesia at BIDMC. Since joining BIDMC in 1999, he has held many leadership positions, including Associate Director of the Anesthesia Residency, Chief of Critical Care Medicine, Medical Director of Respiratory Therapy, and Vice Chair for Critical Care Medicine. He has authored hundreds of publications in national and international journals related to anesthesia and critical care medicine. Dr. Talmor is particularly interested in respiratory therapy and mechanical ventilation and co-directs our Lung Injury Research Center.
