Kaveh Momenzadeh, MD
Kaveh Momenzadeh received his medical doctorate from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. He joined the MTII as a postdoctoral research fellow in 2018. In 2020, he earned a certificate in Applied Biostatistics from Harvard Medical School. His clinical experience in musculoskeletal injuries as a team physician for the Iranian national soccer teams and his basic science background has enabled him to focus on unmet clinical needs in musculoskeletal health through translational research.
Working under the guidance of Dr. Nazarian, he collaborates with leading clinicians and engineers, conducting groundbreaking research in orthobiologics, with a particular interest in fracture healing mechanisms and innovative modalities to enhance bone regeneration. These endeavors led him to receive the New Investigator Recognition Award (NIRA) from the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) and the best poster award at BIDMC in 2022. Kaveh's research has been published in highly regarded journals, including Science Translational Medicine, The Lancet, Annals of Biomedical Engineering, and Foot and Ankle International.
