Dr. Agustin N. Posso is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School–affiliated teaching hospital, where he works under the mentorship of Dr. Bernard T. Lee. His research focuses on identifying risk factors and evaluating surgical outcomes in reconstructive surgery using large, longitudinal clinical databases.

Dr. Posso earned his medical degree in Ecuador in 2022 and subsequently pursued advanced training in clinical research methodology, including coursework such as Principles and Practice of Clinical Research at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He is currently completing a Master of Public Health in Clinical Effectiveness at Harvard T.H. Chan, driven by his interests in global surgery, health systems, and evidence-based care.

In addition to his research work, Dr. Posso actively participates in surgical missions for reconstructive care to underserved populations in Ecuador. His long-term career goal is to train as a surgeon, continue producing high-impact outcomes research, and expand access to safe surgical care globally.
