Our Mission
The goal of the BioDataBank Core is to build a biobank of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC)/BILH patient biospecimens, metadata, and histological / omics data that are linked to clinical data for biomedical research directed towards advancing precision medicine. Our current workflow allows for investigators to reach out directly to us, and we will work to source samples and data of interest.
Who We Are
- A physical biorepository to facilitate the deep phenotyping of human specimens that are linked to clinical diagnoses
- A digital databank of cutting-edge omics and histological profiling generated from stored and annotated samples
- A virtual catalogue interface that will facilitate collaborations with industry and other academic centers to help advance biomedical discovery in the state of Massachusetts
