Valeria Gutierrez de Piñeres, MD

Valeria obtained her medical degree from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. She is currently an Internal Medicine resident at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida and collaborator with the Mantzoros lab. Her work focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms and metabolic effects of novel and upcoming pharmacotherapies for obesity. Outside of medicine, Valeria enjoys playing tennis and spending quality times with her family, friends and dog.
