Valeria Gutierrez de Piñeres, MD

Valeria obtained her medical degree from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. She is currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Mantzoros Lab. Her work focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms and metabolic effects of novel and upcoming pharmacotherapies for obesity. Outside of medicine, Valeria enjoys playing tennis and spending quality times with her family, friends and dog.
