Brian O'Gara, MD, MPH

Brian P O'Gara, MD, MPH, is an anesthesiologist and intensivist in the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School. His research spans perioperative and critical care medicine, with particular interests in lung-protective anesthesia, volatile anesthetic sedation in critically ill patients, and translational approaches to improving outcomes after major surgery. His work also includes investigations in postoperative neurocognition, perioperative technology, and innovative approaches to respiratory and critical care research.
