Monica Goyal is a Clinical Research Coordinator II in the Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a member of the FIRST Program. She holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Boston University, with a strong emphasis on clinical research methodology and data analysis. Monica also earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in India and practiced as a dentist, bringing a unique clinical perspective to her research role.

At BIDMC, Monica coordinates vascular surgery trials, with a particular focus on aneurysm research. She applies her interdisciplinary background to support study coordination, regulatory compliance, and data integrity, contributing to improved surgical research outcomes and patient care. Her passion for public health extends beyond the clinical setting—she spent a summer in the Dominican Republic working with local communities to promote health awareness and education. Monica is dedicated to translating epidemiologic insights into impactful clinical research and is excited to continue growing within the collaborative environment of the FIRST Program. Outside of work, Monica enjoys painting, reading and engaging in creative projects. She previously created makeup tutorials, combining her artistic interests with digital media.
