Tanvi Saxena (Harvard BBS Program)
Tanvi grew up in New Delhi, India and graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi with a B.Tech and M.Tech in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology. Having always been interested in the biological sciences and disease focused research, she worked as a research technician in the Housman Lab (MIT), Wang Lab (MIT, University of Florida) and the Hynes Lab (MIT) studying diseases like Huntingtons Disease, Myotonic Dystrophy and breast cancer before starting her PhD in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) at Harvard University in 2017. She joined the Slack lab in 2018. For her thesis, she is looking into the role of novel lncRNAs in non small cell lung cancer.
