Instructor in Medicine
I am a translational physician-scientist specializing in autoimmune diseases, particularly systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). I initiated my medical career in 2010 and earned my PhD in Immunology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022. I directs the Autoimmune Skin Diseases Clinic, where I integrates cutting-edge research into clinical practice, focusing on the role of ferroptosis in keratinocytes in cutaneous lupus. My work represents a bench-to-bedside approach, dedicated to improving patient care through innovative treatment strategies and a profound understanding of the effects of SLE on the skin.
