Abhigyan Satyam, PhD
I earned my Ph.D. in Biomedical engineering from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Following his doctoral studies, I joined the renowned laboratory of Dr. George Tsokos at Harvard Medical School, where I investigated complement activation in trauma, gut injury, and tissue regeneration. I has also made significant contributions to the fight against COVID-19, actively participating in projects aimed at discovering effective treatments, including Syk and complement inhibitors.
Currently, I am deeply involved in studying complement activation in podocytes, with a specific focus on kidney disease. My work in this area holds immense promise for unraveling the molecular mechanisms underlying lupus nephritis and may lead to the development of innovative treatment approaches.
