I studied at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, where I got my medical diploma. Following graduation, I joined the Tsokos Lab and am currently receiving my post-doctoral training. My research involves deconvoluting the role of ADAM9, a protein with disintegrin and metalloproteinase activity, in the post-translational processing of immune mediators. Using murine models and in-vitro culture systems, I aim to explore its role in T cell-dependent immunologic phenomena. The end goal is to investigate how these phenomena can be manipulated in disease characterized by immune dysregulation, with an emphasis on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.
