Dr. Trisha Pasricha is a a physician-scientist whose lab focuses on further elucidating cellular and molecular underpinnings of the gut-brain connection. A major area of focus of her research are the gastrointestinal complications and possible gut-first origins of Parkinson's disease. She completed internal medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and fellowships in gastroenterology and motility at Massachusetts General Hospital, as well as a Master of Public Health from Harvard T.S. Chan School of Public Health.

She is also the 'Ask A Doctor' columnist for The Washington Post where she answers a range of health questions submitted by readers weekly. Her forthcoming book on harnessing the gut-brain connection will be released in Spring 2025 (Penguin Random House).
