Clinical Research Coordinator II

Ethan Sheppard is Clinical Research Coordinator II in the Sleep and Inflammatory Systems Lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He received his B.A. in Psychology and English from Swarthmore College, where he studied anxiety and mood disorders with Dr. Jedidiah Siev and Dr. Jane Gillham, conducting research on unacceptable thoughts in OCD and rumination in depression. Prior to joining the Sleep and Inflammatory Systems Lab, Ethan worked as a research assistant at the Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program at the University of Pennsylvania with Dr. Michael Perlis and Dr. Alexandria Muench, where he conducted research on insomnia subtypes, insomnia-associated daytime complaints, and CBT-I effectiveness in real-world clinical practice. In the Sleep and Inflammatory Systems Lab, Ethan helps to coordinate a variety of studies, particularly the RECOVER COVID Study and its associated clinical trials.
