Vera Jacobson joined our group as a high school student through Project Success organized by the Office of Diversity Inclusion and Community Partnership (DCP) at Harvard Medical School. She worked with Fernando Coelho on a project titled "The impact of sleep deprivation, restriction, and disruption on sleepiness, fatigue, and pain in controlled conditions,” and the co-authored paper is coming out soon. After Vera’s first year at Cornell University, she returned to the lab as an undergraduate researcher where she worked on her own project titled "Spectral Analysis of Heart Rate Variability in Long COVID (LC) During the Nocturnal Sleep Period- a Pilot Study.” Vera returned to Cornell University in the Fall and is continuing to work on this first author publication over the summer.
