Sleep Medicine, Hypersomnia, and Women's Health

Margaret Blattner, MD PhD, is a neurologist and sleep medicine physician in the Department of Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and clinical instructor in neurology at Harvard Medical School. Margaret completed her medical degree and PhD in neuroscience from the University of Illinois.  She completed residency in the Department of Neurology at Washington University in St. Louis before pursing a clinical sleep medicine fellowship and post-doctoral research fellowship in sleep and circadian physiology with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Margaret’s clinical and research interests include the interaction between sleep disorders and neurologic disease, with a focus on women’s health and central disorders of hypersomnolence, including narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia.
