Chih-Kai Chen

Chih-Kai obtained his M.D. degree from National Taiwan University in 2025 and is currently a master's student majoring in neuroimmunology at Sorbonne University, with the hope of pursuing a Ph.D. in the field. His research interest lies in how immune reactions affect the brain during the progression of age-related neurodegeneration and how those interactions can be therapeutically targeted. Chih-Kai briefly joined the Mavrikaki lab in the summer of 2026, where he was trying to understand how spatial patterns in the human cortex affect astrocyte subpopulations during aging.
