Our Research

The major focus of our laboratory is the development and application of state-of-the-art techniques in bioanalytical mass spectrometry to assess the dynamic states of the metabolome, lipidome and proteome in biological systems both in vitro and in vivo. These include cell culture perturbations as well as biological fluids and tissue sections from human specimens as well as model systems from mouse to drosophila. By using a variety of high throughput and high-resolution mass spectrometry platforms, we can profile the flux of the metabolome and lipidome as well as profile various post-translational modifications and dynamic protein complexes, in some cases from a single sample extraction.
