Mechanistic biology of intestinal barrier function and host defense
In the Grey Lab, our aim is to discover fundamental biochemical, cellular, and physiologic mechanisms regulating epithelial cell stress responses, host-microbial interactions, and mucosal host defense and to translate that knowledge into a better understanding of human digestive health and disease.
We are committed to training the next generation of scientists, and we welcome postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduate students interested in discovering the cellular and biochemical mechanisms of intestinal barrier function in health and disease.
