All researchers, from students and fellows to senior faculty, are encouraged to present a poster at the BIDMC Research Retreat. To do so, you need to use the link above to register for the event and submit an abstract online.
- The first and senior author of the abstract must have a primary appointment at BIDMC or Joslin.
- A single presenter should NOT submit more than one poster. The presenting author must attend to present the poster in person during the session time.
- Posters previously presented at any internal BIDMC event, like the AI/ML symposium or 2024 retreat, must NOT be submitted. Posters presented at the national meetings are acceptable.
Abstracts must be submitted by Monday, June 23, 2025. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Research Retreat Scientific Program Committee, based on the following criteria: the quality of the abstract, the data, and whether the data supports the conclusion, significance, innovation, and, where applicable, quality of the analysis. Please don’t miss the submission deadline, and ensure to include these aspects in the abstract.
BIDMC Abstracts will also be checked by the Technology Ventures Office (TVO) for Intellectual Property (IP) issues. However, we strongly recommend that you reach out to the tech-transfer office independently for confidentiality / IP concerns before submitting the abstracts.
Instructions for Registration and Abstract Submission:
- Before registering/submitting your abstract, be prepared to download the Abstract Template (in Word format) and fill in the information shown in the picture below.
- Do not forget to save your file in PDF format, keeping the file name as 2025RR.pdf (Note: Please DON'T attach your name to the end of the file name, system will add it automatically after submission).
The first author of the submitted abstract will be notified about acceptance by July 28.
Accepted posters will be presented in a digital E-Poster format at the Retreat. We will provide complete guidance on preparing E-posters and support in uploading e-posters to showcase on the day of the Retreat.
