The Health Policy Section attended the AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting in Seattle, where six section members presented eight studies. 

Poster Presentations  

Dr. Andrew Oseran presented his work "Cardiovascular Diagnoses Made during In-Home Health Risk Assessments in Medicare Advantage Are Increasing but Result in Low Treatment Rates" 

Dr. Bassel Shanab presented his work on cardiovascular disease burden among working-age adults on Medicaid and its implications for Medicaid eligibility changes. 

Marcos Gomez Ambriz presented "Changes in Patient Medical Debt after the No Surprises Act"

Kimberly Clinch presented "Cardiometabolic Health Worsened Among Pregnant Women in the United States Between 2001 and 2023" 

Podium Presentations 

Dr. Andrew Oseran presented his work on health care access, financial burden, and satisfaction after enrollment in Medicare Advantage.

Dr. Prihatha Narasimmaraj presented her work "Health Status of Older Working-Age Adults at Risk of SNAP Disenrollment Due to Work Requirements" and "Changes in All-Cause Hospitalizations and Mortality after Reduction of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Benefits: A Quasi-Experimental Policy Analysis" 

Dr. Lucas Marinacci presented "The Inflation Reduction Act and Medication Adherence: A Difference-In-Differences Analysis of the Low-Income Subsidy Expansion" 

Dr. Andrew Oseran was also the session chair for the late-breaking session "Digital Innovation and Private Equity: Implications for Care Delivery and Measurement"
