Rishi K. Wadhera, MD, MPP, MPhil

Rishi K. Wadhera, MD, MPP, MPhil is an associate director and the section head of the Health Policy and Equity team at the Richard A and Susan F. Smith Center for Outcomes Research, an associate program director in cardiology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, and an associate professor of health policy and management at Harvard School of Public Health. His research uses claims, registry, and survey data to understand health care disparities and health inequities, evaluates cardiovascular disease epidemiology, care quality, and outcomes, looks into the effects of state and federal health policies on cardiovascular care, and links diverse datasets to examine the relationship between different populations and enhance clinical, socioeconomic, and community phenotyping.


 

Andrew S. Oseran, MD, MBA, MS

Andrew S. Oseran, MD, MBA, MSc is an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist and an investigator at the Richard A. and Susan F. Smith Center for Outcomes Research in Cardiology. He received his MD from Georgetown University School of Medicine as well as a master’s in business administration (MBA) from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. He completed his internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship, and advanced heart failure and transplant fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. During this time, he also received a Master of Science (MSc) in Epidemiology from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. His research interests include questions related to the delivery of health care and understanding how domestic policy initiatives impact health care outcomes and cost.


 

Staff

Camilla Bjorck-Posson, MPH, MS

 

 

 

 

 

 

Camilla is the Program Administrator, Research, for the Health Policy & Equity section. She has an interest in both health and food policy on a national level, and provides administrative support to Dr. Wadhera as well as the research section. She completed her MPH in Health Policy at Tufts University Medical Center, and her MS in Agriculture, Food, and the Environment at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science & Policy at Tufts. Prior to that, she completed her BS in Public Health at Northern Arizona University and AS-T from Cuesta College.


 

ZhaoNian Zheng, MSc

 

 

 

 

 

 

ZhaoNian is a Lead Biostatistician for the Health Policy & Equity section at the Smith Center for Outcomes Research. Specializing in biostatistics and machine learning, ZhaoNian has focused his research on evaluating treatment effects for cardiovascular diseases, studying both short- and long-term outcomes, and provided key methodological guidance for work that aims to understand healthcare disparities and inequities in the United States using survey, claims, and registry data.


 

Archana Tale, MPH

 

Archana is a Biostatistician II in the Health Policy and Equity section at the Smith Center for Outcomes Research. An expert in complex survey data analysis, she also works with claims and registry data and takes on a data management role. Her primary responsibility is in the Health Policy & Equity section, but she also serves as a shared resource for other sections to assist with their research needs. Archana is keen on working with various types of data and learning and applying new techniques.
 


 

Elizabeth Dixon, BA

 

Elizabeth is the Clinical Research Writing Assistant for the Health Policy & Equity section at the Smith Center for Outcomes Research. She provides support to Dr. Wadhera, the Program Administrator, and the research section. Elizabeth completed her Bachelor of Arts in Government & Law and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies at
Lafayette College, where she studied intersectional approaches to research design and policy analysis with a focus on gender-based violence and women's health care.
