Dr. Mustafa Korkutata
Mustafa Korkutata is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), affiliated with Harvard Medical School. His work focuses on sleep medicine and neuroscience, with a particular interest in the neuropharmacology of sleep and the mechanisms behind sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. Korkutata's research contributions include exploring the role of adenosine receptors in sleep regulation and investigating the neuroanatomical networks of neuronal populations involved in sleep apnea and other sleep disorders, as well as factors that affect sleep quality and circadian rhythms. He has also conducted studies on the physiological and molecular effects of sleep deprivation and stress on sleep patterns.
