Professional Biography

Jan Walker's principal research interests lie in patients' perspectives on care and the use of information technologies to improve their experience. She and Tom Delbanco are co-founders of "OpenNotes", a national initiative that champions patients' access to their complete medical records to optimize their health and enable contributions to develop new approaches to patient-clinician partnership. She is a former critical care nurse and holds a BSN from the University of Kansas and an MBA from Boston University.
