Dr. Jingyi Wu has received a 2026 BIDMC Translational Research Hub Spark Grant for her project, “Epigenetic Mechanisms of the IDH Inhibitor in Glioma.”
IDH inhibitors have emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy for patients with IDH-mutant gliomas, but tumors vary substantially in their responses to treatment. Dr. Wu’s project will investigate how the epigenetic states of glioma cells influence their sensitivity or resistance to IDH inhibition.
The BIDMC Hub Spark Grant program supports innovative collaborations between basic, translational, and clinical investigators with the potential to accelerate discoveries from the laboratory toward clinical application. This award will advance the Wu Lab’s broader research program examining how genetic and epigenetic alterations interact to drive tumor evolution and treatment resistance.
