Patric Liang, MD

Patric Liang, MD is a surgeon-scientist in the field of vascular surgery and vascular biology. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and is a clinically active board-certified vascular surgeon. He obtained his B.A. in molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania and medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his integrated vascular surgery residency training at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he also completed a 2-year T32 Research Fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Frank LoGerfo. 

He has received numerous foundational research awards and grants including the Foundation to Advance Vascular Cures Wylie Scholar Award and Society for Vascular Surgery Foundation Clinical Research Seed Grant. His current NIH-funded basic and translational biology lab focuses on investigating and discovering novel therapeutics designed to improve prosthetic and autogenous bypass graft patency. He has authored over 80 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and reviews, including original manuscripts in Circulation Research, Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), FASEB, Gene Therapy, and Journal of Vascular Surgery.
