Dr. Shauni Omond is a Research Fellow in the Division of Sleep and Circadian Disorders at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), working in the Rahman Lab as well as for the Department of Psychiatry at BIDMC. She earned her PhD in sleep ecophysiology at La Trobe University in Australia, with doctoral training that combined basic and translational approaches to understanding sleep and circadian biology, followed by postdoctoral research focused on human and clinical applications.
 
Her work has shifted toward translational, human-centered studies examining circadian misalignment, neurobehavioral performance, shift work, and women’s health. She currently collaborates with investigators across BWH and Harvard Medical School, including interdisciplinary partnerships spanning sleep, psychiatry, and clinical research.
