Michelle Beck is a seasoned leader in clinical research administration, currently serving as the Administrative Director for Clinical Research Programs and the Clinical Research Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. In this role, she oversees operational, financial, and strategic functions supporting investigator-initiated and sponsored studies, and ensures that the CRC functions effectively as part of the Harvard Catalyst ecosystem. 

With a leadership role in the Harvard Catalyst “Connector” program, Michelle is a key liaison supporting the translational research infrastructure for BIDMC. Her work helps investigators navigate regulatory, operational, and budgetary challenges in clinical trials.

Over her career, Michelle has held progressive roles in research administration at BIDMC, including prior positions as Administrative Manager of the General Clinical Research Center and co‑director of operations for Harvard Catalyst’s CRC operations at BIDMC. Her background includes experience across research coordination, budget management, and administrative leadership in clinical research settings. 

Michelle holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) earned from Simmons College (Simmons School of Management) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Bates College. Her educational foundation supports her ability to bridge scientific, regulatory, and operational domains in clinical research.

Known for her organizational acumen, collaborative style, and dedication to improving research infrastructure, Michelle is a respected figure within BIDMC’s research community and among investigators seeking administrative support and strategic guidance.
