Dr. Werner Neuhausser
Principal Investigator, PRECISE TrialChief Scientific Officer at CNY FertilityDr. Werner Neuhausser received his medical degree from Oxford University followed by an academic internship at Imperial College in London (UK). He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Boston IVF in Boston.
He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s degree in Physics from Vienna Technical University and, as a Fulbright Fellow, went on to receive a PhD in Biomedical Sciences working with Nobel laureate Dr. David Julius at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is a faculty member at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School where is currently the PI for a large $30m multi-center RCT funded by PCORI comparing cleavage-stage and blastocyst embryo transfer in patients with few embryos. He is also a NIH-funded physician-scientist leading a basic science research group studying early human embryonic and germ cell development and has published in prestigious journals such as Nature.
Dr. Neuhausser is double Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the New England Fertility Society (NEFS). In his spare time, Dr. Neuhausser enjoys mountaineering, climbing, skiing and wildlife photography and is a certified ski instructor.
