General Information

The Benitez Lab combines state-of-the-art approaches in human genetic discoveries and functional genomic analyses with in vitro and in vivo AD or PD mouse model experiments. For example, our research has included:

• Thousands of whole exome sequencing and GWAS data
• Single nuclei RNA-sequencing from Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease patients, proteomic data, Bulk-RNA sequencing data
• CRISPR/Cas9-corrected patient-derived iPS cells and primary cells
• Stereotaxic delivery of Adeno-associated virus (AAV) or alpha-synuclein pre-formed fibrils
