Hamid M. Abdolmaleky, M.D.

Senior Research Scientist

As a Senior Scientist at the Stem Cell and Organoid Research and Engineering Center, Hamid focuses on understanding how environmental and nutritional factors influence epigenetic regulation and contribute to the development of complex diseases, including cancer, metabolic disorders, and neuropsychiatric conditions. His research aims to identify disease-associated epigenetic alterations and evaluate their potential as targets for therapeutic intervention.

Hamid brings extensive expertise in epigenetic and molecular analyses, including DNA methylation profiling, bisulfite sequencing, quantitative methylation-specific PCR, chromatin immunoprecipitation, and histone modification assessment. He also has substantial experience in human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) culture, directed differentiation, and organoid development, as well as gene and protein expression analysis, gene modulation, transcriptomic profiling, and pathway analysis. By combining advanced stem cell technologies with molecular and epigenetic approaches, he contributes to the Center’s mission of developing innovative models for studying human disease and accelerating translational research.
