Currently OMERO is offered at no cost, just the same as standard storage. With billing for storage beginning in January 2017, the expectation is that OMERO storage will also be subject to billing like other research storage. The exact mechanism and pricing for this is currently being worked out. Ideally OMERO storage would be treated preferentially to help incentivize its use and adoption. More information will be coming.
