During my time in the lab, my worked focused on two important aspects of cardiovascular risk: obesity and adiposity as a major cardiovascular risk enhancers in the context of cardiorespiratory fitness and heart failure, and on early menopause as a contributor to sex differences in CVD. By studying circulating protein biomarkers, we gained a better understanding of biological pathways that drive cardiovascular disease in the context of obesity, sex differences and early menopause.
Favorite hobbies/interests outside of work: Long distance running, road biking and sketching in coffee shops
