Imaging Section Takes on Tennesse - ASE 2025

This past weekend, members of the Cardiovascular Imaging Section made their way to Nashville, Tennesse to present at the American Society of Echocardiography 2025.

Research student Christy Zheng presented her SEER-Medicare analysis, assessing the variability in echocardiographic surveillance in cardiotoxicity for patients that have been treated with anthracycline chemotherapy.

Clinical fellow and research trainee, Dr. Katharine Rainer, presented her work analyzing the use of AI in contrast-enhanced echocardiograms.

Dr. Jordan Strom delivered the 2025 Kalmanson Lecture, "The Doppler Shift: From Microbubbles to Medicine." Additionally, he served as a Q&A moderator on ASE guidelines for the standardization of adult echo reporting.

Dr. Strom also gave an ASE interview, in which he discussed how AI can improve efficiency while also improving diagnostic accuracy. The full interview can be found here.
