Dr. Nicholas Spetko

Nick is originally from New Jersey and moved to the Boston area for college. After studying Biology at Boston College, he obtained his M.D. from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency, chief medical residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and is a current third-year general cardiology fellow at BIDMC. Along the way, he has conducted research studies utilizing large observational datasets and cohort studies at BIDMC evaluating cardiovascular imaging and medication use patterns. 

Nick now conducts research under the mentorship of Dr. Jordan Strom as a T32 Fellow. He is interested in the intersection of general cardiology, echocardiography and conducting research to better understand and improve cardiovascular health disparities.
