Dr. McCloskey is a Professor of Physiology at the School of Medicine and the Johnston Cancer Research Center in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She is an ion channel electrophysiologist by training and now has active research interests in characterizing interstitial cells within the bladder wall as well as in understanding the cellular and molecular changes that occur in radiation cystitis and prostate cancer. It was a delight for Warren Hill, Weiqun Yu, Bryce MacIver and Laura Torre to talk about their work and to hear the latest findings from her lab.
