Maria Daniela Sarquis, MD joined the OB/GYN Department at BIDMC as a Clinical Research Coordinator in November 2025. She works under the mentorship of Dr. Rose Molina and Dr. Michele Hacker on a variety of research projects focused on women’s health, reproductive health, and perinatal outcomes. Her work includes participant recruitment, study coordination, data management, and support for research aimed at improving maternal and reproductive healthcare.
Dr. Sarquis earned her medical degree from the Universidad de Carabobo in Venezuela in 2022. Since relocating to the United States, she has continued pursuing research opportunities in women's health while preparing for residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her research interests include maternal health, reproductive health, health equity, immigrant health, and patient-centered care, with a particular interest in understanding how social and psychosocial factors influence pregnancy and postpartum outcomes.
