Program Director, Office of Student Engagement and Experience (OSEE)

Ethan Selinger is the Program Director for BIDMC's Office of Student Engagement and Experience (OSEE).

An educator and seasoned career advisor, Ethan received his Bachelor of Arts in education at the University of Rhode Island, and his Master's degree in Higher Education from Merrimack College. He worked as a K-12 teacher before switching pathways into College advising and counseling.

Ethan's career has been dedicated to supporting students' career journeys by fostering experiential educational opportunities for students to gain real world experience as they learn in the classroom. Prior to BIDMC, he's worked at numerous higher education institutions in Offices and roles dedicated to building and fostering partnerships with for-profit companies, non-profit companies, and government agencies to create opportunities for students. Most recently, he worked at Northeastern University, overseeing career advising and experiential education operations, and advising hundreds of students, for various graduate programs on Northeastern's network of Campuses across the United States and Canada. He's also served on Boards and Committees for multiple career advising and experiential education professional organizations.

Ethan now oversees all operations for OSEE, and is excited to build an Office to support students conducting their research experiences at BIDMC. Through development of advising and support services for students, collaborations with Principal Investigators and Departments, and focused strategies for developing and streamlining partnerships with programs and institutions to bring students into BIDMC, Ethan is positioning this Office to play a key role in supporting BIDMC as a leader in fostering the next generation of healthcare workers and researchers!
