Minimally Invasive/Bariatric Surgery
The one-year Advanced GI MIS Fellowship at BIDMC offers specialized training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery for graduates of General Surgery. Based on the Blackburn Service, the program emphasizes laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy with additional exposure to gastric bypass, band procedures, revisions, hernia repair, endoscopy, and robotic surgery. Fellows also rotate at BID-Milton.
