Center for Career Development (CCD) and Grant Writing Support/Epstein Society

The Center for Career Development supports the career advancement of the BIDMC faculty members. The leaders of the CCD work collaboratively to provide guidance, mentorship, and practical support to colleagues seeking advice regarding their career progression.  The CCD offers one to one guidance and various programs to BIDMC faculty.

The Franklin Epstein Society is a faculty mentoring program which honors the late Dr. Frank Epstein, a renowned nephrologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Epstein exemplified the ideal physician: an investigator, a teacher, and a master clinician. The primary goal of the Epstein Society is to assist investigators with grant writing. The Epstein Society is led by Dr. Steven Freedman. Participation is extended to investigators across all departments.

InSPIRE allows for CIMER (nationally recognized Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research) trained mentors to offer BIDMC faculty mentoring and support at all levels through the CCD.
