How To Apply for OB/GYN Fellowships
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology fellowship training programs attract talented providers who seek to succeed in all areas of our mission: clinical care, research and education. Minimum Requirements
The minimum requirements for acceptance into any Obstetrics & Gynecology fellowship training program at BIDMC are below.
- Graduation from accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- All applications must be submitted via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
- All of BIDMC‘s OB/GYN Fellowship programs participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).
Required Documents (submitted via ERAS):
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology requires that the documents below are submitted with each application via ERAS to be considered for an OB/GYN fellowship training program.
- Completed application
- Curriculum vitae
- Personal statement
- Official medical school transcript
- United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) scores
- Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) Examination Scores
- Three letters of recommendation
OB/GYN Fellowship Deadlines

Our fellowship program follows the key dates established by AUGS.

The Gynecologic Oncology fellowship program follows the SGO guidelines for deadlines.
Monday, April 6, 2026: Fellowship application deadline
Monday, May 11, 2026: Invitation to interview sent out to applicants
Interview Date(s): July 14 and 15, 2026
Please see specific guidelines for the three letters of recommendation for your Gynecologic Oncology application:
- Program Director SLOE
- Gynecologic Oncologist SLOE
- Letter of your choosing, any format acceptable
*Recent supervisor LOR(s) also acceptable where Residency Program Director and/or Gynecologic Oncologist letters are not relevant or available.

The MFM fellowship program follows the SMFM guidelines for deadlines.
April 27, 2026: Deadline for applications to be included in the first notification.
May 18, 2026: Single notification date for interviews.
May 26, 2026: Initial deadline to accept or decline interviews.

Friday, May 1, 2026: (12PM CST): Deadline for fellowship programs to receive fellowship applications.
*Send all CREOG scores in PDF format with your full name via email to Dvaleri1@bidmc.hardvard.edu to upload into your ERAS file.
Thursday, June 4, 2026: Notification to invite candidates for interviews.
Thursday, June 11, 2026 (12PM CST): Initial deadline for applicants to accept or decline interview date.
Friday, June 19, 2026: Deadline for alerting invited candidates as to which interview date they are given (including option of wait listing them if they cannot make the offered slot) as well as informing ALL candidates of their status (i.e. invited for interview; wait-listed; or rejected).
Wednesday, June 24, 2026 (12PM CST): Match Registration opens
