Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery

The Hand and Upper Extremity Division has a robust research program with interests in patient-reported outcomes after hand surgery, post-traumatic reconstruction, osteoporosis and fragility fractures. We are conducting several prospective studies in this arena (quantitative and qualitative) and have successfully secured extramural funding.  Our faculty shares a deep commitment to mentoring the next generation of surgeon-scientists and medical students, residents and fellows are heavily involved in our research program.
