Sports Medicine
Division Overview
Research in the Sports Medicine division spans multiple arenas. We work with our colleagues in the Musculoskeletal Translational Innovation Initiative (MTII) on animal, cadaver, and modeling studies, with a particular interest in the shoulder and knee joints. As members of the Multicenter Orthopedic Outcomes Network (MOON) Shoulder Group and Multicenter ACL Revision Study (MARS) study group, we participate in national clinical trials that look to improve treatment for various knee and shoulder conditions. We frequently work with students and trainees in hopes to better prepare them for careers in medicine and research.
