Amelia Barnett, MD

Dr. Amelia Barnett is the Inpatient Chief Medical Resident for the Blumgart Firm. She grew up in Carlisle, Massachusetts before traveling to Colby College in Maine for her undergraduate work where she earned degrees in Biology and Classics. Subsequently, she worked in basic biologic research for Moderna Therapeutics and then Agios Therapeutics in Cambridge before attending medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine. After Internal Medicine Residency at BIDMC, she completed her first year of hematology/oncology fellowship at BIDMC prior to her chief medical resident year. Her clinical and academic interests include critical illness communication, particularly in the solid oncology space, and medical education. Outside of the hospital she enjoys reading, trips to the beach and spending time with her husband Ben, family, and friends
