Janet Monroe, MD

Dr. Janet Monroe is the Chief Medical Resident at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center. Janet grew up in New Jersey and went to college at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, where she studied psychology and biology. She attended Boston University for medical school and subsequently began her time at BIDMC. While in residency, Janet developed her passion for cardiology and medical education, participating in the Clinician Educator Track and studying interventions to improve uptake of heart failure medications. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking, skiing, and long naps on the beach.
