Daniel Brooks, M.S.

Daniel joined the lab in 2012 and assists with various research projects in the lab and oversees the µCT and Mechanical testing Core. Prior to coming to BIDMC, he earned an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the Joint BME Program of North Carolina State University and UNC- Chapel Hill and then managed two research labs at Cornell University for five years. Daniel works closely with both internal and external investigators to plan and perform µCT imaging and mechanical testing for their projects. In addition to performing analysis himself, he also enjoys teaching students, post-docs, and other trainees how to perform µCT imaging and mechanical testing themselves. During his free time, he enjoys trail running, XC skiing, spending time with family outdoors, and being a Scout leader.
