Alexander Dal Forno, MD

Dr. Alexander Dal Forno is a cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist based in Florianópolis, Brazil. He received his medical degree from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM-RS) and completed his postgraduate medical training in Internal Medicine at Hospital Nossa Senhora da Conceição, followed by specialized training in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at Hospital São Lucas, Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS).

His clinical practice is dedicated to the management of cardiac arrhythmias, with a particular focus on atrial fibrillation, catheter ablation, and, especially, cardiac conduction system pacing, an area in which he is recognized as one of the leading specialists in Brazil and Latin America. His research interests include invasive cardiac electrophysiology, physiological cardiac pacing, atrial fibrillation, and emerging technologies for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.

He is currently a member of the medical staff at Clínica Ritmo and serves as Head of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Service at Hospital SOS Cárdio in Florianópolis, Brazil. His work combines clinical practice, research, and medical education, with a strong emphasis on translating the best available scientific evidence into high-quality patient care.
