OPEN POSTDOC POSITION AT BOSTON CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL

 

 Position Description:

A postdoctoral position in the Park laboratory (Sang Park, PhD) in the Division of Endocrinology, Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, located in the Longwood Medical Area, Boston, MA. The goal of our research is to understand the mechanisms by which insulin resistance, glucose intolerance, and type 2 diabetes develop in obesity. This involves understanding the insulin receptor signaling and the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress pathways. We specifically focus on the liver and skeletal muscle. The successful candidate will enjoy excellent training opportunities in a collaborative research environment, benefit from the diverse scientific environment of Harvard Medical School, and be exposed to a wide array of state-of-the-art technologies, including molecular biology, cellular biology, histology, and innovative animal models.

 

Requirements:

The candidate must have an MD, PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree with a strong background in metabolism, or related disciplines, demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals. Excellent experimental and analytical skills in cellular and molecular biology and experience with mice are required.
