Research

The Lawler lab has studied the structure and function of the members of the TSP gene family for more than 50 years. We have focused on the role of TSP-1 in the tumor microenvironment. This research has informed the development of a new cancer therapeutic that is currently being evaluated in murine models of ovarian and pancreatic cancer in collaboration with Dr. Jim Petrik's lab and Dr. Dipak Panigrahy's lab.
