Preparing for Fellowship

The Internal Medicine Residency Program at BIDMC:

  • Provides an advanced curriculum of clinical training and medical education to prepare residents for the practice of internal medicine, as well as clinical and research training in medical subspecialties.
  • Tailors the residency program to the needs and career goals of each trainee. And, during their junior and senior years, residents will have elective time to sample subspecialty training in areas of interest.
  • Ensures residents are poised to become leaders in their chosen areas and helps match residents into competitive fellowship programs across the country in various subspecialties of internal medicine.

BIDMC will assist by:

  • Hosting career meetings, both group and individual, to help you navigate the process
  • Providing help with editing your CV and Personal Statement
  • Holding mock interviews
  • Helping you find coverage while you interview

  • Providing post-interview meetings and match list guidance
