HMS students that are taking part in the BIDMC-Shapiro Scholars program are expected to:
Be available over the Program’s 8-week period June 1st- July 24th, 2026
- Review information on participating PIs
- Apply by the application deadline (February 28th, 2026)
- If matched, apply for funding through HMS Office of Scholarly Engagement (OSE) to take part in the experience
- Display professionalism at all times throughout the experience.
- Participate in professional development and community building events designed for students in the Program
- Proactively communicate any concerns to your Mentor and/or Program Administrators
- Participate in an end of program evaluation
Note: if you accept a placement in a Research Lab for Summer 2026, you are expected to carry out this experience. This is a commitment.
